C128 Monochrome Adapter

A lesser known feature of the C128 is that it outputs the video signal from its VDP port (80 columns mode) not only as RGBI, but also as simple monochrome video.

Using this adapter, you can easily get this signal to an RCA socket to feed into either a composite monitor or some upscaler. The RGBtoHDMI Mono & Lumacode can also handle this signal.

But be aware that this then only shows 3 levels of gray (black, gray, white). As this may already be enough for many purposes this cheap adapter could be just the right thing for the job.
